In Maple Class your class teachers are Mrs Phillipson and Mrs Crookes (on Mondays). Our LSAs are Mrs Caudwell and Miss Booth.

Some key things for you to know

PE is on Fridays. On these days you can come to school in your PE kit (black or blue shorts/joggers, trainers/pumps and a white plain top). Your normal school jumper or cardigan can be worn as an extra layer in cooler months.

Remarkable Readers!

Reading is extremely important at Kirkby Avenue Primary School, therefore you must take your book and diary home every night and try your best to become a 'remarkable reader'.

Each time your child reads they achieve a 'Reading point'. This could be for:

Reading at home to an adult

or

reading at home independently

Points are cumulative and will be added up weekly throughout the year.

35 points = Bronze Award

70 points = Brilliant Bronze Award

105 points = Silver Award

140 points = Super Silver Award

175 points = Gold Award

210 points = Glittering Gold Award

Star stickers will be added to your personal bookmark each week and prizes handed out to those that have achieved all of their stars each half-term!

Homework

Homework is given out on a Friday and due in on the following Wednesday.

Each week you are asked to complete the quiz and times tables/spellings.

Please speak to Mrs Phillipson if you have any queries regarding homework expectations or adaptations.
