Welcome to our Year 3/4 class page!
The adults working with you this year are Miss Dumelow, Mrs Thompson, Miss Z'Drava, Mrs Saxton-McCabe and Miss Williamson. We are so excited to be part of your learning journey.
PE Information
Our PE lessons take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. To ensure children are comfortable and ready to participate, please make sure they come to school wearing the correct PE kit on these days.
PE Kit Requirements:
- Plain white T-shirt
- Black or navy shorts, joggers or leggings
- Suitable trainers
As the weather becomes colder, children are welcome to wear a plain black or navy hoodie, sweatshirt or jacket to keep warm during outdoor activities.

Remarkable Readers!
Reading is extremely important at Kirkby Avenue Primary School, therefore you must take your book and diary home every night and try your best to become a 'remarkable reader'.
Each time your child reads they achieve a 'Reading point'. This could be for - reading at home to an adult or reading at home independently. Points are cumulative and will be added up weekly throughout the year.
Home Learning
Home learning is given out on a Friday and due in on the following Wednesday. Extra dojos will be given for practising a times table of your choice and practising your weekly spellings in your best handwriting. These can be completed in your homework book. Homework is due in on Wednesdays and will be handed out every Friday. We can't wait to see all of your hard work!
Autumn Term in Aspen Class
This half-term, our theme is 'Our Rights,' where we will explore children's rights and learn about inspiring individuals who have helped make a difference in the world, including Malala Yousafzai, Marcus Rashford and Greta Thunberg. We will be thinking about how our voices can make a positive impact and how we can stand up for what is right in our communities and beyond. We will also be building our skills as historians and develop the knowledge to answer the key question - ‘How have courageous people helped change what it means to be a child, and what rights do children have today?’
